Refugio

—2014—

Refuge is a sculpture that replicates a precarious shelter assembled from various materials found in the central district of Santiago, Chile. The materials collected on these trips include acrylic sheets, metal sheets, grating, pipes, branches of trees and other objects, which were assembled into a perfect circular shape regardless of sizes and textures. Shelter plays with effects of chromaticism and transparency that are characteristic of cities, here created by the lights and shadows generated by the gallery lighting.
