A Window of Infinity: Embodying Material Culture from Film History

— 2022 —

This project aims to bridge the gap between the visual arts and cinema, materializing aesthetics, innovations and narratives of film history through time, in new artworks, made with analog techniques, with the intention of giving a material body to the image of light.

Through suggestive images, the main subject is the evolution of identities, highlighting in its development the cultural exchanges.

The works appropriate meanings, dynamics and narratives, highlighting the material culture and its evolution over time, through a new line of argument given through these representations.

This project has been developed thanks to the Kunstfonds grant and the support of Deutsche Kinemathek and Weberei.
